Lost my drag & capture mouse box .....

In trying to get 2011 set up as close to the "classic" view as possible (20+ year, unhappy now, user) I seem to have lost the click, hold, drag capture visible box & function. Anyone know what I fat-fingered?

What do you mean lost ? What needed to set up to your old ways :

Pickdragg, pickadd, aperture, pickbox, grips........all still there

"Options"

"Selection" tab

"Visual Effect Setting" button.

Take a look at it and see if you need to make any adjustments.
