AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

Hi

I am not 100% sure if this is the right forum but here goes.

I am looking for an example autocad drawing of the connection between a window and a wall. In other words, a drawing which shows how the window is attached to the wall.

Does not matter what kind of window, materials etc.

Have you tried window manufacturer websites. They may have details in cad or PDF format.

just saw the request. BUT you are being quite vague.

what wall types? - 2x4, metal stud, cmu, conc., etc.... 

thickness?

also depends greatly on the type of window and its sash and etc....

also to concider.....

what kind of loads are there?

height of window? determines type and make of window.(lower to floor ='s safety type glass)etc....

given a more directional request i may be able to find u this dwg. or get u close to something......

Thank you both for your answers.

To me, it does not matter what kind the window is, materials of the window, size etc. The only thing that I would prefer is that the window could exist in a "house made for living", f.ex townhouse, apartment building.

I am just looking for an example window drawing, so that I get an idea of how it is drawn.

I am looking for these kinds of drawings but from another part of the house. I am looking for a drawing which shows the window attached to the wall. I am sorry for my bad description, I am not a native speaker so let me try to describe in another way.

What I am looking for is a drawing from the other window side seen from the opposite side. So when I put my head halfway out of a window so that my eyes are of the same level as the wall and the window, what I see, is what I am looking for.

Same as if I stand in a doorway, looking directly at the doorframe, but this with a window.

Hope this clears it up, but I understand that my explanation is not very good.

Go to this site :  http://pellaadm.com/aspx/Selections.aspx?pid=50&step=2  Pella has an AutoCAD installation drawing you can download which is exactly what you are looking for.  You can choose from several different types of installations but I opened the Brickmould one and it seems perfect for your use.
