warning you that you hav "new" layers in the drawing and prompts you to confirm their visibility before you plot. if you want it to stop popping up, click yes. Select the unreconciled layers and right click - reconcile layer. Go to plot again and the warning wont be there.

    dmarcus,

thank you for the solution. this need to be done for every drawing once, is it? There is no setting somewhere in the options where this can be set up once for all?

Your way is anyway a help for me.

    Thank you

well yes once to reconcile new layers, but if you add more 'new' layers in again then it will prompt you again. I would love to know how to switch this off permanantly, but haven't found the solution yet. Anyone else?

    Hi dmarcus,

after checking a bit more in detail it seems not possible to switch it off once for all. Only thing I am going to do is setting from the beginning the variable LAYEREVAL to "0" and the dialog will not pop up anymore for this drawing unless you set it back to "1". It is not working over all because this setting is a setting related to athe drawing and not the general Autocad options.

Maybe we should suggest it to Autodesk because I find it bothering and I think that I am not the only one.

Yes, you can switch this 'unreconciled layers' notification off permanently.

If you go up to your pull down menu for your layer control, in the table at the top right hand there is a spanner for layer settings, click on it, open it up, top of the tablet is 'new layer notification' click that off - ta da!!

I hope this helps, I am on AutoCAD 2011
