    Large Memory Usage when Printing

I have a file that I am trying to print that is causing an abnormally large memory usage. Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce this? The file which is 26 sheet takes about 45 min to print. This is way way too long for me. See the attached image for mem usage.

What is it like when you shut AutoCAD down and re-open the file. Are
you sure that background printing is not turned on?. Can you print in a
    vector-based language - i.e. HPGL/2 ? What happens if you print to a
file instead of a port ?

Actually I am printing to a PDF and a DWF. I am using DWF6eplot for the DWF and Adobe PDF for the PDF. Both take the same amount of time. I have one xref that has been clipped and rotated around several times in that drawing, could this have anything to do with that?

Try using CutePDFWriter.pc3 to make your pdfs. If any of your viewports in your drawings are polygonal, not simple rectangles, CutePDFWriter.pc3 will be able to made the pdfs without making large file sizes. Edited by: Neilsen on Feb 23, 2010 9:47 PM
