How to have more than one point style in the same file?

I’m wondering if there is a way to have more than one point style in the same file?

    Is that possible?

    Thank you for the help

    Best

    Jamal

Only one at a time in a file: sounds like you are in dire need of a 'points' symbols library.

    Many thanks.

The point style should be like other styles (dimension, text, table, leader, etc)

Dean is correct here, Jamal.  Points are created by a variety of commands in AutoCAD including the POINT command, MEASURE and DIVIDE.  As such, a point is really what I'd call a "utility" object.  It's not intended to be a permanent part of a drawing.  Points are generally either temporary or included only on a layer like DEFPOINTS, or another that never plots.  If you do have use for something like a point in your drawings, create dedicated blocks for them and stash them on a custom tool palette with their standard layer(s) preset.

    Jamal hi

Does custom linetypes can accomplish your need?

I take it you've never zoomed out, then REGENALL, and watch your custom point shapes explode in size yet? Your inexperienced CAD-life is in for a shock :smileyhappy:

You are barking up the wrong tree with this idea: if you want something permanently displayed, you need to create a custom object (block is ideal in this case) to display it at the size and shape(s) you need. DIVIDE and MEASURE commands can use blocks instead of points, get creative and take control of your drawings.
