AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

We just received ACAD 2012 and I would like to turn off the layout tab preview option/function. We have drawings with upwards fo 60-70 layout tabs in them and the preview is annoying and is causing some issues. I can't seem to find the system variable to trun it off.

Any input is appreciated.

Unfortunately there is no option to turn it off.

Hmm..... this is very unfortunate as it's nothing but a video hog and due to the preview it doesn't scroll through the layout tabs efficiently. Once again forced to use what big brother "thinks" we want with no way of turning it off

AutoCAD relies heavily on the built-in Thumbnails: you choice to turn it all off may speed up your session, but that means all preview thumbnails are off.

I changed the settings but it did not affect the Layout tab preview. It is still there.

Are you referring to the "Quick View Layouts"?  If so, simply click on the "X" to close it out (it's at the bottom center of your screen just under the preview windows), or, enter the command QVLayoutClose

Thank you, but QVLayoutClose does nothing. When hovering over the layout tabs the preview still activates. Also I have no "X" at the bottom center of the screen below the preview windows.

I think we've determined that what you seek is not something you can turn off. FYI, it's still in 2013 unchanged.

Are you running in Windows XP by change, or a minimum-spec Win7 PC?

I believe that may be a correct statement. Im running into road blocks everywhere I look.

We are STILL running Windows XP (sigh) no upgrade planned until 4Q13. Then all the real fun will begin.
