Performed a zoom extent on the object, saved, then close the file. When the file is re-opened, the object is not at the postition it was with the zoom extent before the file was initially closed. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix this problem? I need the zoom extent position saved for thumbnail views(imperative).

By chance do you have the Ribbon on? No fix, the Ribbon when it loads pushes the screen down and knocks off your set view.
BTW, thumbnail views are savd in the file AFTER you SAVE or QSAVE, so I'm not sure what opening the file afterwards has much to do with it: can you explain?
