    Download trial?

Where can I download the latest AutoCAD 2012 (SP1?) trial? I can't seem to find it on the web site. I'm running into inconvenient bugs with 2013 in what I am trying to do, which presumably won't be fixed in the next several days.

You can't get 2012 anymore from Autodesk web site, maybe you calling your reseller, he/she may have one.

Guess I'll look for an alternative brand.  :smileysad:

Well, it's not as though there aren't legitimate reasons to abondon AutoCAD2013 in favor of a previous version.... or an alternative product altogether....

I should have explained: I want to try 2012 SP1 so I can estimate how buggy 2013 SP1 will be. So I have to decide based on how buggy 2013 is. Regardless, at best it means each major release is too buggy for my taste at least 50% of the year.

    I agree with this 100%.

I'd love to see a productivity study between AutoCad users that "upgrade" in the Spring after the initial release vs those who upgrade in the Fall after the SP's are released.

That's all I was seeking, a little background: thanks.

What buggy parts in 2013 do you want fixed? The fewer people that post about them the fewer reasons anyone at Autodesk has to deal with them.

R2012 was pretty darn impressive at release, SP1 simply fixed wishlist items for those shocked by the dropped content from R2011. So you'll not find a good comparison there, you are talking apples and oranges.

It depends if the poll asks real power-users vs. hunt-and-peck button pushers to get a real answer :smileyhappy:

The poll should include all users, since we all pay the same price, but I'm not why you think experience level would matter.  Surely even "power users" see a boost in productivity when the bugs get ironed out.
