    DWG to PDF, Ø and MTEXT

    Thought I would ask here before I put a query through to Autodesk...

    We create a drawing that has MTEXT with the diameter sign (Ø) in it and we create a PDF filefrom it. When we open the PDF file we get an error message stating:

    "Cannot find or create the font 'ArialMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."

    When we look at the PDF drawing, the lines that have the diameter sign in have been replaced with a series of dots!

    If there is box with several lines, it's only the line with the diameter sign that's not displayed. If we take the sign out, it displays correctly.

    Any idea?

    Your PDF driver is set to save the fonts in the pdf file by chance? The
    Error message notes that on the machine in question that font is not
    installed.

    This sounds like an issue with your PDF printing settings,
    make sure you set your PDF maker to embed all necessary
    fonts.

    You can try...
    1. Run PLOTTERMANAGER command and double click DWG to PDF.pc3;
    2. Choose Custom Properties and click Custom Properties... button;
    3. Choose Capture all for Font Handling.

    It may help.
