Hi,
>> as the attachment below
Sorry, there is no attachment. ![]()
Some questions to isolate the problem:
- does that happen only with one special drawing or does that also happen when you create a new drawing from an AutoCAD-template, draw a line and plot it?
- do you get a preview?
- have you tried to create a DWF or PDF, just to be sure that it depends on this specific plotter/printer-driver?
- and if all above fails ... have you tried to create a PC3-file for this plotter from scatch?

Hi,
if you would have clicked onto the "more info"-button, maybe that there would be some hints to continue.
But the type of message remembers me first to a MS-Framework error, and the second idea was that HP had often installed some printer-manager (showing you how much ink is in, plus other details) and this print-manager was based on Framework 1.1. That's commonly not installed anymore but maybe your friends's-XP has it.
Try first to get a new driver for this printer, if you don't find one install a driver that is compatible to your printer and use that.
If you have the choice during installation not to install any manager ==> don't install it (at least just to isolate the problem).

We have had this issue since we moved to a 64 bit os and solved it by making our own A3 paper size which is slightly smaller for the 64 bit systems on the server that hosts our A3 printers.
It seems that AutoCAD falls over when you select A3 paper for any printers but not our plotter other people have fixed it by using the universal driver we have been using our fix for a couple of years now.
Check out the Printing and Plotting section for advice on this.

None of the above in new news: it's been around as long as Win7 64bit. Try a google search.

Hi,
After dealing with the same Print crash problem on windows 7 32-bit and found a solution.
First we downloaded a POST SCRIPT driver from HP's website not the PCL version, unzip that file to the desktop, then go to printers and click add new printer, we used a driver from the unzipped file instead of a universal one supplied by windows or HP.
The PCL driver seemed to be causing the problem so make sure you source the latest post script version.
Hopefully this works for you too!
