Converting Blended Surfaces To Solids?

I have created an object using multiple surfaces some are revolved some are blended and would like to convert them to a solid object. I have tried surfsculp, surface offset, and thicken but none of them work. The surfaces do not create a watertight object but I do not understand why not, everything has been blended. When I try to offset it fails and when I use thicken it tells me that the object intersects itself. I do not know what to do can anyone help?

Unfortunately, AutoCAD cannot convert a surface to a solid like you wish. If you could manage to convert it to a closed mesh, then AutoCAD *might* be able to make it into a solid with CONVTOSOLID. This is an unfortunate situation that has been around since they started using solids technology (release 13), and they haven't seen fit to address this issue. Sorry.

Thank you for your response. I have tried to convert it into a mesh, when I do it becomes very ugly and rough and creates alot of holes even after using smooth mesh. I tried to patch the holes with the proper command (I cannot remember the name off the top of my head), but it actually just makes it worse.
I also have Inventor I am just not as familiar with it. Is there anyway I can import the drawing to Inventor and convert it into a solid? Or will I have the same issues?

Sorry, I know very little about Inventor. There are many Inventor users here, so maybe one will chime in. Other than that, I would suggest downloading a demo of Inventor and trying things out for yourself, to determine if it can meet your needs.

uhhmm didn't the OP indicate already having Inventor?
Of course a question of this type of any complexity cannot possible be answered without a file.

Uh... yes... yes, he did. I referred quickly back to his first post when I wrote that, but he didn't say it until his second post. Way to jump in there with unimportant criticism!

The part looks great in Inventor but I do not know how to get the file into AutoCAD?
