    AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

    Can't finish the installation

    After downloading the 2010 version, a message appears during the Installation Process:

     

    CRC failed in x86\support\SAMreport-Lite\SAMreport.exe
    Unexpected end of archive

     

    And I can't continue. I tried to download another version but I always get into the same problem. Somebody knows what is happening or should help me?

    Hi,

     

    CRC error is a checksum failure on an archive or a file. So I assume either the download has troubles or the source, where you load that from, already has this issue built in.

    Where do you get AutoCAD 2010 nowadays downloaded from? I think it's not an Autodesk-page, is it?

    Actually, yes, it was downloaded from Autodesk... And I found friends at college that had the same problem...

    Have any of your classmates been successful with the download?

    Does your school have a student IT Help Desk that can help you download, install and activate software?

I haven't understood my problem yet, I tried to download it many times, some of my classmates had this problem too and others not, my teacher couldn't help me, by the way. But? I asked another student to download and copy the setup for me and the installation went right this time. So, it's everything okay now. Thanks for trying to help me!

    Just for others reading this post:

    That shows there was a problem with your internet-connection, maybe your provider, your individual connection or whatever the reason is in detail. But CRC failure means that your downloaded file is not matching 100% to the checksum of the original file.
    If anyone get's a CRC-failure that re-download (optional from another location) is necessary.

    For those who are having the problem with download turn off anti-virus and firewall which might slow download and find a location with fast internet connection.

    In my experience if the download takes more than 3 hrs it is always corrupt.
