Hi Guys,
Wondering if you can assist?
I have a user that is running MS Windows XP Pro - 64Bit with 8GB RAM.
For no apparent reason AutoCad 2012 keeps crashing when the user is doing various tasks.
I have checked the event logs and the only thing that occours at the same time time as the crash is the following:
"The FLEXnet Licensing Service 64 service entered the stopped state."
I have run all the hot fixes available and it is SP2 enabled, I am at an absolute loss as to what to do!?
Can any of you wizards shed any light on this!?
Many thanks for your time.
Phil

After what length of use does this crash happen?
Could it be that because AC is power hungry and eats so much, after a while the pc runs out of memory?
If so a reboot of AC after 2-3 would help.

Hi Trev,
Thanks for your response, this happens roughly after 4-6mins useage, AutoCad simply vanishes from screen and the user is returned back to the desktop with no error messages or anything in the Event Log.
I have another 5 users that have exactly the same setup apart from the O/S which is Win7 and they have the same RAM and have no issues?
Thank you again for your suggestion tho! ![]()

The issue has been solved, it turned out to be a lack of virtual memory (as a result of the poor percentage that is automatically allocated by Windows 7).
After increasing the virtual memory the program now runs smoothly and (so far) without hitch!!
Thank you Trev for your input!!
