AutoCAD 2012 Save As Crash

Hello,
I am running AutoCAD 2012 and have been experiencing a lot of problems when trying to Save As, Open, Block Insert, or anything other function that requires AutoCAD to open an explorer window (refer to attached). It doesn't seem to matter if I'm saving locally or any network drive. It doesn't happen ever time, but frequent enough that I don't do Save As anymore. When it happens, my PC locks up completely and immediately. I'm running Win 7 32 bit.
Thanks,
JB

Try to save to newer version of Autocad, I see you save to 2000 format.

I've tried saving as several versions, including 2010, with no luck. The problem happens while I am browsing folders (before I actually get to save the file). Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hi,
do you have the chance to unplug your network-cable before starting AutoCAD and open the OPEN- oder SAVE-dialog?
Another question: do you have any USB device attached or a CD/DVD in your drive? If so try also to disconnect the USB-devices or unload any CD/DVD.

Repair Autocad, it doesn't take that long.
Install service pack too.

I unplugged my network cable and the problem still occurred; however, it took a lot longer. I was able to browse through explorer for a few minutes to local folders before locking up. No devices plugged into my PC or CDs. Maybe I'll try the repair and a service pack. Open to more suggestions.
