Saving Block Referrence Edits

Getting this error when attempting to save reference edit. Unable to save edits.
Command: _amrefclose Errors found in references to other objects:
** Object reference missing: AcDbLine, to AcDbDimAssoc.

Try to fix the file by running AUDIT or RECOVER, then Purging and Qsave, before you refedit to see if the problem goes away.

Thank you for the reply. I restarted my machine and that seemed to work. But if it happens again I will try your solution and let you know.

That worked for fixing the block once, but subsequent attempts to edit the block come up with the same error.
However when I run the Audit and Purge I come up with this message:
"Do you want to purge layer $AUDIT-BAD-LAYER?"
So it must be linked to a layer somehow.

Good assumption: as a test, use WBLOCK and create a new file out of all the content you have in MODELSPACE, then use that file for a while. See if the problem goes away.
