Network Install for AutoCAD 2007 and Land Desktop

Hello,
I'm installing 2007 AutoCAD and LD on a Windows 7 x64 machine. While not officially supported, I was able to get it to run in compatability mode and within the XP virtual PC.
We use a network license but when I start AutoCAD it asks to Buy, activate or run as a trial. How do I get it to use our network license server that is currently up and running without issues?
- I've added the system variable ADSK_LICENSE_FILE and @ourserver. Didn't seem to work.
- I installed it on the computer from the disk and choose StandAlone installation
- I also have an installation of AutoCAD 2012 on the computer as well
Any help is appreciated?
Thanks!

You don't, it's not designed to work with that OS. It's unsupported.
if you believe otherwise, you can ask Autodesk direct through these channels:

Autodesk support is now on Twitter 24/5 (@autodeskcare): http://autode.sk/sbGrpx

Your reseller may have technical support to offer as well (usually not for free, but I don't know your deal with them).
Hope that helps getting you the answer you seek.

Thanks for your reply, pendean.
I understand it's not supported within Windows 7, but would that also mean it doesn't work within the Virtual XP machine?
The basic question I suppose, regardless of OS, is how do I get my installation to use a network license? Does it have to be done through the deployment wizard in 2007?
Thanks!

So I was able to actually create a Network Admin image pointing to the license server and install from there. Running 2007 in XP SP3 compatability mode and allow it to run as admin seems to let it work on Windows 7. Not ideal obviously but good enough until we make the full transition to 2012.
Thanks for the help!

>>>...allow it to run as admin ...<<<
Sorry, I assumed that was already the case: a known limitation of running it as you do in XP Mode. My bad.
