scaling

Scaling concern. I want to scale the box to the line above without guessing. I am tired of typing in a scale value over and over to get that close to the line as possible. Even scale without typing in a value and the other line highligthing but I feel that is still guessing. Maybe I can use another base point, maybe there is an option to doing it but I want it touching that line without guessing.

Thanks if someone can lead me in the right direction but I will still try..

SCALE

<enter>

Select Objects

<enter>

Pick Base Point

R (reference)

Pick End Point (Where base point is circled in your screenshot)

Specify Second point (Top left corner in your screenshot)

Drag up to your line.

Ok. I think I got it. When you say "Top left corner" its of the object I want, not the line above. It did osnap the top of my box to the line and I think I can sleep at night knowing this method. Every time I scaled I only had one ref point and not a second to work to. Thanks

Yes, top left corner of the Object (box), that you are Scaling.

This is the only way to Scale an object in this manner.

Glad it worked for you.
