We are in the market to purchase a PDF to Dwg Converter software. I would like some input from people who covert pdf drawings and convert to dwg

Thanks

Try before you buy, not all converters are made equally.
Also know if your PDF is a plot (converts best) or a scan (POS result) ahead
of time, it controls expectations with the outcome.

Be aware that they probably sent you a PDF instead of a DWG for a reason.

Interesting response.
The OP stated:
"We are in the market to purchase a PDF to Dwg Converter software. I would like some input from people who covert pdf drawings and convert to dwg."
I'm curious to know what "reason", if any, would impact the purchase decision.

Take a look at http://www.dotsoft.com/pdfimport.htm.

Merely pointing out that the source of the PDF used that format for a reason. "Reverse engineering" as it were, that deliverable, and then altering that deliverable may have undesirable implications.

Would you be willing to provide (general) information about the source of the PDFs that you hope to be able to convert to DWG, and the purpose of doing so?

You should search it online but not ask it here.
I'm using AutoDWG converter actually and I'll give my reason . We need to fix our old drawings (as most of them are scanned and the original DWG's cannot be recovered). I get converted drawings from the converter then. For the most the times it was just a raster to vector conversion, but does save me a lot of time to redraw the whole plan.
You can get more information here for the converter: http://www.autodwg.com/pdf-to-dwg-converter/

Usually you are sent pdf files for a reason....do you have the right to have the drawing in dwg? If so, request the drawing from your source. There must be legal implications for reproducing a drawing this way.

If I have assumed incorrectly, I apologize.
