GUYS IS THERE A WAY OR COMMAND TO FLATTEN THE 2D AUTOCAD DRAWING TO 0,0 COORDINATE. FLATTEN COMMAND SOME HOW IS NOT DOING THAT. I EVEN TRIEND TO MANUALLY BRING ALL THE LINES TO 0,0. THEY SHOW THAT THEY ARE AT 0,0 WHEN YOU ID THEM BUT WHEN I TRY TO FILLET THEM THEY GAVE A ERROR MESSAGE SAYING LINES ARE NON COOPLANER.

WHILE MANULLY BRINGING THE LINES TO 0,0 I EVEN INCREASED THE PRECISION IN UNITS COMMAND TO MAXIMUM I.E 1/256. I AM USING AUTOCAD 2007.

YOUR HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED AS I AM TOTALLY CONFUSED NOW AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT ELSE TO TO.

The error suggests that it's not the 0,0 (X,Y) that is causing the problem but that the lines you are trying to fillet have different Z values. You can check this in the properties box.
Tip: In the lower right hand side of screen you should see a padlock icon which is the Z-lock. Activating it will limit your work to Z=0.

rotate your UCS to look at your entities from one side, zoom in, measure to
Z=0 and see for yourself.

Try this
Select the entire drawing--go to properties--list will show the no of lines-select lines- Geometry- change start z & end z to 0.
i have tried this with 2006. should work. Other problem is - any entity which is not a line will still be non co-planer. U wil need to find it & use the same procedure.

One way is already mentioned that select all objects make Z- elevation "0" i.e if Lines --start and end elevation and if polyline then elevation = "0"
Second way is export drawing to DXF so that everything flattens out automatically.

Try this

Hello Guys,

I am trying to flatten the file and nothing seems to work. I have tried flatten command, exporting as dxf, the only thing that works is selecting line by line and changing the z value. There has to be a faster way please help!!
