FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e06d7363h Exception at fd899e5dh

While working as per usual on AutoCAD 2009 I randomly revieved this Error while trying to open another file from 'My Documents" on my computer:

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e06d7363h Exception at fd899e5dh

The Error came up after the file has opened via a small pop up window and when I press th "OK" button the program completely closes. I cannot open and work on any of my drawings.

Please help!

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

New issue for you?

Have you tried RECOVER on the File that you were trying to open?

AUDIT on the current open file when the error occured?

Message 3 of 15

Yes, It is a new issue.

Unfortunately I am unable to type any commands in the program as the pop up window with the error message prevents such.

Change anything on the Computer today?

New program, Windows update, or Antivirus update?

Close AutoCAD and restart. Choose Recover form Drawing Utilities under the Big A

Will this let you Recover the file?

Message 5 of 15

No nothing was changed.

The only other programs open were Microsoft Office Outlook and Youtube (plaing music).

I had three AutoCAD files open at once, but that is quite usual and I've never had a problem before.

We crossed paths. Go back to my previous post about closing and trying Recover on the file.

Message 8 of 15

Sorry but when you say type "recovery" in; do you mean as a command?

Because I am unable to do so.

I cannot even open a new file without receiving the Error message.

Sorry here.

What version are you on?

Turn off your PC. Count to ten. Turn it back on.
Open AutoCAD: when it's done, use RECOVER command to open your file(s), the PURGE and QSAVE when they are accessed.

Still having issues?

Software doesn't just break: it is always triggered by a change of software (or drivers or updates) on a PC.

if you changed video cards, you probably need to find other drivers for it (older if newer or newest don't work).

I have figured it out.

I had recently done a windows update on my computer and for some reason there was a glitch in my Skype, where the audio would not work.

After googling solutions and reinstalling the update I was able to fix the problem. (i.e. it did not happen anymore)
