OUR PROBLEM WITH AUTOCAD IN WHICH IT KEEPS GIVING US THE ERROR “** UNDEFINED BLOCK#-1” WHICH I HAVE TRIED TO SEARCH FOR INFORMATION ON UNDER THE HELP GUIDE IN AUTOCAD AND ALSO HAVE TRIED ON THE AUTODESK WEBSITE. THIS ERROR IS TAKING ANY NEW VIEWPORT ADDED TO THE PAPER SPACE SHEETS TO NOT SHOW UP ON PLOT PREVIEW OR PLOT AT ALL.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM OR WHAT THE ERROR NEEDS???

In the problem limited to one file, a single project set of files, is it
limited to your template(s) files or all your files including if you start a
new DWG from scratch and those from others with your titleblock or your
newly created viewports (or their existing ones)?

We have had this problem where I work before. It came down to a
circular/nested XREF. Check the XREF tree and you will most likely find a
circular reference somewhere.

Software:
AutoCAD Building Systems 2006 & AutoCAD MEP 2008

There are a few things that might be giving you this problem. First check to make sure your MAXACTVP system variable (controls the maximum number of active viewports) is set to something beyond the number of Viewports you have in your file. If your referencing a file with attribute block definitions defined in it and the same attribute is inserted into the file you might be causing the error. I would try to purge all unused block from the files that you are using. The only time I had a similar issue is when a dimension style was using a user defined block as an arrow head that wasn't supplied with the files.
