Intially its an autocad 2012 seat and with a subscription it was downgraded to a 2009 license, serial number, product key.

Why not simply use 2012?  You can set it to look and save like 2009 (2007)?

Autocad is being used to run another piece of software and that software requires 2009.

Still looking for assistance with this?  Any thoughts on a reg key to edit to reset the license or dat or data file that can deleted so the application won't keep looking at the expired license.

Thanks,

Do a windows search for Software Licenses folder, there should be a .DAT

Delete it, then try to activate again.

So if you are on subscription, why are you not using Subscription Help or your reseller to install your purchased product? You are after all paying to have Autodesk assit you directly, and your reseller is the person to facilitate your access to subscription assistance.
