When I try to edit a block in place I get the following error message.

Command:
Command: _refedit
Errors found in references to other objects:
** Application reference missing: ACAD, to AcDbLinetypeTableRecord.

*Cancel*

How do I fix this problem?

Try moving the block to a vacant area of the dwg and then exploding it. Select everything to do with the block and explode again. Repeat until ACAD responds with a message saying XX Items not able to be exploded, with the XX matching the number of items selected for exploding.

Then just make the changes required and re-make the block.

i found out one common problem for this... its the leader... when you place a leader inside the reference in place... remove it and you can exit and save it...

hope this help

That is correct.

I selected all leaders by using FILTER command and then changed to the another dimension style.

Then all just fine.

Thanks a lot.

Changing style did not work for me.  Even exploding leaders didn't do it.  I had to remove all leaders and MText from the block... that's when it worked again.
