Anyone know if there's a patch or work around for this issue - a table with
sum function create by acad 2007, after editing using acad 2008, the sum
function of table doesn't work when open at 2007.

You've got me curious, now. Is the formula using fields related to objects not found in plain AutoCAD?

It's just your typical equation formula (add, divide, etc). One way to fix
it when using 2007 is to select each cells and edit field to update. but
that's a pain if there's a lot of cells. I was hoping there was an easier
    way.

We are having a similar problem with our tables. They were created in '07 and saved as a 2000 version. If these tables are opened in '08 and saved as a 2000 version, the next time the table is opened and an edit is made, all cells revert to the table style default (text height, and color). I have attached a table to this post. Open in ACAD 2008 and save as a 2000 version; then reopen, edit one of the cells, and watch the chaos...
As a partial work around, if the table is saved as an '07 version, the cells keep their individual settings; but the sum and divide formulas stop working when opened in ACAD 07.
    Any ideas?
