custom text style displaying as simplex

a title block sent to us is displaying one of the many font styles that it contains incorrectly, but only in one situation.  we recently purchased a new computer and installed AC '08.  on all of our other computers this font displays the correct font style, but on the newest computer it does not, though, in the properties it does say it is the correct style.

i understand that the mapping for the font styles could be messed up, or something of the nature, but i would think this would have an effect on the other styles contained in the title block, on the account that it contains very many and all are correct but the one.  any ideas?

    thanks

The missing font is not installed on the one machine: is this a TTF or SHX font? what's it called?
