AutoCAD 2007/2008/2009 DWG Format

My standard buttons have flipped function. The move button functions as scale, the scale button funtions a s something else and so on. What do you guys think the problem is and how can i go about fixing it? This is AutoCAD 2007. thanks.

Hi,

did the icons stay on same places or are also the images/icons changed place? If the icons changed place you could try to find your menu-file, in the same directory and with the same name but extension = MNR you find a compiled version of icons for your menu.

Make a backup if this file and remove it from this place.

Then start AutoCAD (it will rebuild this file) and look if everything is working now as designed.

If not the easiest way would be to find the original of the menu-files you use and replace the ones used at the moment.

Hi,

then you have to restore menufiles that were active before the problem occured (from backup).

For me it's absolutly new(never heard) what you described, click on MOVE and starts COPY.

Yea there are five buttons that have swapped funtions on the modify tool bar...

Sounds like someone swapped menus on you more than anything else: a menu file is one of the most static item in AutoCAD, cannot be changed accidentally by a user that simply uses AutoCAD day in and day out.
