AutoCAD 2007/2008/2009 DWG Format

Hi,

I have installed AutoCAD 2008 LT on a laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium. I put the Serial Number in the respected column while activating the product from within AutoCAD. But the Product ID showed 000-00000000 in the About section. I have tried a number of times after that to update the Serial Number, but in vain. I even edited the same in the Windows Registry, restarted the system, but still the same. Now, strangely, the Serial Number in the Registry shows correctly, but not in the product. Some of the other fields shown in the Product Information are: 

License type: Standalone - Locked

License expiration date: None

License behavior: Permanent

License usage type: Commercial

Do you have any more info for the forum? Such as, when was the product aquired and how; are you trying to install this on a different PC from the one it was originally on?

Does it say NOT FOR SALE at the very top of the full screen AutoCAD window?

The product was purchased in early 2008, in the form of retail box packs (8 nos. - so 8 different serial numbers), from an Audodesk reseller here in India. I am installing it on the same laptop after I have formatted the hard disk and re-installed the OS (Vista 32-bit). And, no it does not say NOT FOR SALE.

Hi,

I want to add a small thing here that I had also received an e-mail with the subject, "Autodesk Registration & Activations ACDLT <my serial no.>" upon Activation, the same day. This e-mail was from "EregConfirmations@autodesk.com".

I thought to mention this, if it culd help in understanding the issue.
