no for example the drawing i am in now:

i have attached another image in where you can see the full name of the jpg

Never a problem to detach any image for me

try the command "CLASSICXREF" if it appears & detach is available then use that

do you have full Autocad??

also this did show in a previous image i done using classicimage command

how large is the file? is it confidential?

its not just one drawing, its many, but they are around 250KB

So far the only option I have seen is to Wblock it to a new drawing. If it was 1 print I could do it for you.

yep that worked in getting out the jpeg, thank you for that.

the only problem i am having with the same drawing is that when i open it, it is still looking for something and i am not sure what.  see image i am not sure how to stop this from coming up and just the drawing open???

do you know anything about that??

I've only ever seen .shx file to be font files in which case you need to get the font from the original source, however it appears to be a shape file not a font.  take a look here
