Problems with copy and paste from different files

    Hi everyone,

I've got some problems using copy and paste command for copy objects from different files.

Sometimes the operation take me just few seconds, sometimes (say the 70% of the times) take me more than 20mins....and it's so frustrating and boring!

I've read that could be a ram problem, but the pc is new!

I've also try to use Scalelist command, but it doesn't work......Autocad says to me that there is a "error in the system"

what can I do?I'm using an Autocad2008 version on Windows7, could be possible have a "conflictual problems" between the 2 systems?

    Thank you for your helping

win7 is not supported for R2008, so yes that is a big deal, it means no one is trying to fix any issues.

But, that should not happen unless the content of your drawings are the trigger: by chance can you post a DWG with this exact problem for someone here to try?

I've recently upgraded the computer I use and it came with Win 7 Professional 64 bit. To install ACAD 2008, I used the XP Mode which sets up a virtual machince running XP. I then installed ACAD into this virtual machine so I have the better OS running for everything else and ACAD running in the old 32 bit OS with no conflict issues. Althoug I do have to find the latest accepted video card list from Autodesk and install it for the performence settings to work properly.
