Hello everyone,
When you open a drawing savad by some other application
you get the warning "This drawing was saved by an application
not developed or licensed by Autodesk................."
But after I save/saveas and close the Drawing from A2k8
This message should not be shown the next time.
But I can not get rid of this message. Is it normal?

Life will be much easier if we just have a printout of
all the commands that exist in Autocad kept handy.

Look at tthe DWGCHECK variable to modify the warnings you get.

Can you post a copy of the file that causes
AutoCAD to continue to display the FUD
message, even after saving it in 2008?
While I can't confirm it, I suppose it's
possible that Autodesk did something like
the educational 'virus', with files that were
at some point in their life, written by non-
Autodesk products.

Did you try that, per chance?

That is strange. Auditing and recovering do not discover any errors. Purging and saving
does nothing.
The following choices will make the drawing appear safe but I am uncertain whether you
will lose anything valuable that is hidden.
1) Dxfout. Start a new drawing and dxfin.
2) Start a new drawing. Insert the problem drawing (exploded).
Strange that the application creating it made all the circles into splines. Nice looking
drawing though.

I Superpurged the dwg and copied and pasted and now do NOT get the

Well, it certainly does seem to be
'virus-like' behavior, because
'virus-like' behavior, because
purging; recovering (which finds no
errors), and saving in AutoCAD
errors), and saving in AutoCAD
2008, does not change anything, and
as per the screenshot below,
as per the screenshot below,
the ObjectARX API is reporting that
the file was not saved by
the file was not saved by
Autodesk software.

Autodesk does have a utility to convert files saved by other programs. DWG
TrueConvert 2007. It seems to work - so far - for older drawings that I
have saved using other programs.
