Actually I'd love to hae the updated version posted.

I finally today got time after playing catch up from vacation to play with it.

I've tried it out in both '07 & '08 and it works great other than with the previously noted exception being anno text with multiple scales in both versions.

    Jon,

Attached is the latest version named ShrinkwrapMText v2a. I feel better about this
    one.

It does additional testing. From the header comments:

;; The handles of annotative mtext with multiple scales may
;; vary for each scale. The program does not modify such objects.
;; Likewise, it will not modify an object if the insertion point is
;; not the same for all scales. Both cases would cause unexpected results.
;; It will modify objects with multiple scales if the handles are
;; proportionally the same and the insertion point is the same for all scales.

The shortcut is the same ST2

Please let me know if you find any problems.

OK- this routine is awesome. These little screwed-up text grip buggers have annoyed me for years.

I just learned about "double-clicking" the arrows in the mtext editor, but aside from being tedious, I found that it leaves any background mask (even new ones) at the old "height" of the box. I don't use masking really, but if I DID decide to use it someday, this method would be useless.

Anyhow- your routine (v2a) fixes BGM sizing as well. Just in case anyone is wondering.

Haven't been able to try it w/ anno objects yet, but it seems to work great in LDT/Map 07 so far.

    Again- awesome job Joe!

Only issue I've found so far is that the grips are reset to the proper locations, but not "dynamic" like a "virgin" piece of mtext is. I.E. a "new" MTEXT entity has lower grips that grow or shrink as text is added or deleted. This is still a much better fix that anything else I've found, but it may need to be repeated as text gets edited.
