After deploying AutoCad 2008 through Group Policy, users are receiving this error message when they open AutoCad:
"acad.exe - Unable to Locate Component"
"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found."
After some research I found that this dll is apart of Microsoft's DirectX 9.
The user's do not have the d3dx9_30.dll in their system32 folder.
After manually installing DirectX on my machine (AutoCad 08 is not installed) I have the d3dx9_30.dll in my system32 folder.
Has anyone had any experiencing with resolving this error message?
Does anyone know if there is an msi available for DirectX 9?
Has anyone been able to successfully deploy AutoCad 2008 through Group Policy without the above mentioned error message?
Thanks in Advance

Chris E,
I have done some work with regards to your message as I had the same issue!... I have created a MSI file using the DirectX setup included with AutoCAD 2008. If you would like a emailed copy of this please add your email address to this forum!
