Can't use delete key, also how to match faces

My delete key all of a sudden quit working in all working spaces. Its driving me crazy, what happened?
Also a some what ignorant question. I how do you put two 3d solids in the same orientation so two faces will be flush. Thanks guys.

Don't know about your delete key, but you can use Align to orientate the
faces of two solids to be flush.
