AutoCAD 2007/2008/2009 DWG Format

I am trying to make changes to the drawing and it comes with the following message.

 _xattach ** XATTACH command not allowed during reference editing ** I cannot save the file even.

Please help.

Try selecting all and explode

Thanks for the information. I could not wait. I turned the computer off and started with thye back-up file again to complete the drawing.

What did I do wrong to get to that situation?

** XATTACH command not allowed during reference editing **

The message is quite clear: you were in REFEDIT command at the time and XATTACH is not allowed when you are there. Simply using REFCLOSE would have gotten you out of the command first.
