softdesk S7 paning

I'm using Softdesk S7. Is there any way to make it zoom and pan using the Mwheel like in newer versions. This is the only version of cad I could get my hands on and I'm used to 2013, which I can't afford.Any input is greatly appreciated.

That ancient forum is closed to new posts. Unless your software is designed for that function you desire, you can't just add it later.

I was thinking an add on of some sort... people write add on software all the time for things in autocad to add to the base program.

True, but not for a 20-year old application that was designed for an equally old O/S. Good luck.

You might have more luck with a 8-16 button puck in a tablet, or a mouse with more than 3 buttons and a mouse driver that will let you assign PAN command to it somehow.

Then you're out of luck. Sorry.
