For a 3dface, it would be simple to write a lisp to gather the points that define the face and generate lines based on those points. Take a look at DXF codes 10, 11, 12, and 13. -- Autodesk Discussion Group Facilitator "C Witt" wrote in message news:41880aa6$1_1@newsprd01... > how can I do this?.. all i want is normal lines...

ok.. i can do that .. but what of the polyface mesh? (amazing that the explode command wouldn't do this) Jason Piercey wrote: > For a 3dface, it would be simple to write a lisp to > gather the points that define the face and generate > lines based on those points. Hi, 1) Explode Polyface mesh -> multiple 3dfaces. 2) Region Command to convert 3dfaces to multiple regions. 3) Explode Regions -> multiple 3dlines. You will probably end up with duplicate 3dlines. If this is a problem you will need to look to additional tools in addition to vanilla AutoCAD, like Map Cleanup or ToolPac's delete duplicate objects. sc "C Witt" wrote in message news:41880aa6$1_1@newsprd01... > how can I do this?.. all i want is normal lines...

Perhaps the suggestion Steve provided will work for you? -- Autodesk Discussion Group Facilitator "C Witt" wrote in message news:4188111e$1_1@newsprd01... > ok.. i can do that .. but what of the polyface mesh?

Hello

A french Lisp routine (from Bonuscad - www.cadxp.com) to create 3DPlines from 3DFaces

I have added a few US/English comments ...

Maybe it could help you !?

Command: 3DFTO3DPO
