Working with text in AutoCAD

Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to insert one text, in AutoCAD, multiplied. When i modify the initial text, to be modified all texts that i inserted (that are same as the initial text) in my project. For example if i write "Door" and i want to multiply this text and put in different parts of the project, i want to be able to modify this text and the others to change as initial.

Thanks.

You can do that with a Block, though that would require a slightly greater number of steps to update all of them [double-click on one to get into the block editor, and edit the text content there, rather than just editing content of a top-level Text entity].  Or you could do it with Rtext referencing a .txt file, though that would require editing the content in that file with Notepad or equivalent, rather than inside the drawing.  Or you can use Qselect to find all Text with a specified content [in the current space, at least], and change them all at once in the Properties box.

Or, maybe the best option I can think of: a command can be defined [and probably has been already -- try a Search] that would ask the User to select a Text/Mtext entity and for the new text content, and would find and change the content of all Text/Mtext with the old content to the new content.  Does that sound like what you want?
