where exactly are these dimension properties located at ? because as far as I am concerned, there is a text editor in Inventor which allows you to edit dimension values as text. Unfortunately, however, it only provides the means for adding more text and/or symbols, as well as simply writting the dimension value in manually while hiding the real value. I have yet to see how the software allows the user to rotate the actual dimension text itself. Please explain or further clarify your comment ASAP.
Even though this is an extremely old thread, it sounds like a rotated view in a viewport is causing text to appear to be upside down. I know in newer versions you can highlight the dimension and then in Properties manager you can make it read right-to-left and below the line, and that might fix it for you. Fix one and then use Painter to change the rest
I really dont understand what is meant by properties manager. As far as i am concerned, inventor has "dimension styles" and in there you can make several changes which are somewhat similar to what I want to do, but not exactly allowing me to read left-to-right or viceversa. It seems to establish some kind of default orientation and I cannot find a way to change this. Please extrapolate on the properties manager that you mentioned. I am currently working on Inventor 2010. I have never seen a properties manager for drawing documents within inventor. I have, however, seen that in Autocad. Unfortunately I am trying to solve this problem within Inventor.
