I am having a persistent problem from a particular client's DWG causing my Land Enabled Map 2005 to crash everytime I try to load a DWG that I've recieved from them.
They (the client's engineer) are using Archtitect 2008. Since I am on an older version, I first have to run the DWG (which I recieve from them) through DWG TrueView 2011 to convert it back to 2004. I have done this many times with other DWG's from other sources and have not had any problems when trying to load it into my 2005 version.
However, for some particular reason, EVERY single DWG I get from the Arch. 2008 machine causes my 2005 to crash, even though it (the DWG TrueView 2011 conversion) says it was sucessful.
I have not spoken with the client engineer yet about this problem. I know that there is a service pack available for his Arch. 2008, but am not sure if he's installed it yet or not.
How can I direct him to find out if he DOES have it installed?
I suppose this is the first course of action I should pursue, correct?
And since this is somewhat of an Arch. 2008 issue, should I also post this in the appropiate Arch. 2008 forum?
Many THANKS in advance for your input.
BTW, I've attached the screenshot showing what the errors look like when I try to load the DWG in Map 2005.

Ok, I am going to try that.
What about the question regarding the service pack? Do you think that is relevant anyway?
