of the AutoCAD software is free? i mean any of the old licences 2005-or prior
became open license of any kind? the place where i work uses AutoCAD 2005 i
want to know if they have to pay for the license or update it according to the
hardware they cave, they cant run more than cad2005.. where can i check that
up? (serious responses only please)
the only free version you can get is the academic version, and if that is used it will put an academic version stamp on every drawing created, this will stick with any element copied into a commercial drawing and then that will also have the academic stamp, this is done to stop the academic version being used for commercial purposes. As for the Machine hardware, I have found most machines will run an upgraded version of AutoCAD, but maybe very slowly.
