Explorer Folder displays a icon instead of a bitmap

When I view my files in windows explorer, they are represented as icons instead of the bitmap I used to get? I am using autocad 2005 and windows 7 operating system. I'm afraid it may be due to the windows 7. I am creating cell site floor plans. Often the site is for the most part a near representation of a previous site. I used to be able to choose "extral Large Icons" in windows explorer which would give me a large enough bitmap to be able to select a "like" site. Now all I see is a DWG icon. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

If it's not Win7 compatibility, it may be your file doesn't contain a preview.
