Customize Fatal Error

First:
AutoCAD 2004 SP 1a on WinXP Pro SP2

AutoCAD has been is still is working just fine, except....
Either by right clicking or issuing the customize command results in FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 83a044h

I have 1) Ran the install to repair registry 2) Ran the install to repair and install missing components, 3) Repaired .NET 2.0 installation and No, have not done a *complete uninstall and reinstall* - short of that...

There are several entries for "violation reading" but not for this address shown (both in these groups and knowledge base).

Needless to say, after all these years I have toolbars etc pretty much customized as I want, but.... that I can not "tweak" or add without a fatal error is disconcerting

Any suggestions? Any help?

But , still combing the groups for clues, came across your reply in this thread:

It was concerning the CUI format menus, but followed the suggestion to delete the .mnr file, letting AutoCAD recreate it. Worked :smileyhappy:
