Is there a command that eliminates the hook on dims?

enter quick leader. pull leader & right click to "enter mtext". enter & right click. hook is the short horizontal line just before the text. setvar or command to eliminate this hook altogether?

I say to teiarch, try out your suggestions B4 you suggest them. Yours don't work.

OK joe, to eliminate the "hook", you also have to eliminate the mtext, so just check the none box under Leader Line & Arrow, then add your own text.

I tested mine first teiarch, and.... it works!!! :-)
