Using AutoCAD 2006 in XP Mode Cursor Follows Crosshairs

Since upgrading my system to Windows 7 64 Bit, whenever i  am using AutoCAD 2006 in XP Mode the cursor follows the Crosshair.  The cursor is either an arrow or the "pan" hand.  It is very frustrating as it makes drafting really hard.  Any thoughts on how to remove the Coursor?  Any help is much appreciated.

Start by turning off Win7's Aero theme (change to WIndows Basic Theme), and see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, however I have my computer set to Windows Classic theme and I still have the arrow and hand following the cross hairs.  Any other thoughts?

    Thanks,

Is Windows (preferred in situations like yours) or a mouse driver running your mouse?

Otherwise I suspect there is no fix :smileysad:

Thanks for the advice.  The driver for the mouse I am using is a Microsoft driver so I guess I will have to deal with the issue.

    Thanks again.
