When inserting an image I receive this error = Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x001c Exception at 33ed1fe8h. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

No need to answer pointless questions, but your post is lacking of specifics. When exactly does the error happen (e.g., as soon as you specify the image filename; when the file selection dialog is active; etc.)? What kind of image file is it (type, subtype/flavor) ? Does it happen with that specific file/file type, or all files/file types? -- http://www.caddzone.com AcadXTabs: MDI Document Tabs for AutoCAD 2004/2005 http://www.acadxtabs.com "SHANEALEXANDER" wrote in message news:11546003.1106253248894.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... >I get the same error.

I can go through all of the steps to insert an image (Browsing, locating, seeing, and clicking on the image) after saying O.K. then I get the error.

What KIND of image? jpg, gif, compressed or non-compressed tif? Acad is finicky about what type of image is used and there are lots of different types of images out there. We need to pin this down a bit.

Sorry, you're probably not going to get much help on this unless you read the responses you have so far, and answer all the questions. -- http://www.caddzone.com AcadXTabs: MDI Document Tabs for AutoCAD 2004/2005 http://www.acadxtabs.com "SHANEALEXANDER" wrote in message news:23701801.1106261605755.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com... >I can go through all of the steps to insert an image (Browsing, locating, seeing, and clicking on the image) after >saying O.K. then I get the error.

.jpg/.bmp AutoCAD has accepted them up until the software from 3DS Max was installed.

We are starting to narrow things down a bit here. 3DS Max has been installed on the AutoCAD computers to use them as server computers. That is when the prob. began. We have uninstalled the software but the prob. remains.
