FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e0434f4dh Exception at 7c812a5bh

I installed AutoCAD 2005 (with SP1) on a laptop. The system used to
work great but then the engineers installed Inventor 11 Series and
Intent 1.1 and 1.2. Now AutoCAD 2005 crashes with "FATAL ERROR:
Unhanded e0434f4dh Exception at 7c812a5bh" on startup.

It seems to be a correlation between the installation of the other
AutoDesk software but it could be any number of things.

The application won't finish starting up, it always crashes at the same
place and with the same error.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Before someone asks, here's the specs:
Dell Precision M65 Core Duo 2.0 Ghz, notebook
    2 GB RAM
    Windows XP (32) SP2
It's running McAfee Enterprise v8.5.0i (NOT v8.0 so the v11 hotfix
doesn't apply here). I've tried disabling it completely but the new
version won't allow itself to be disabled. ACAD2005 worked when v8.0
was installed but it also stopped working before v8.5 was ever installed.

Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried running a repair install on AutoCAD?

I've uninstall/reinstall from the CD but I have not tried repairing the
    installation.

One of the engineers thinks that 2005 has run when Inventor was
uninstalled. Maybe there are some conflicting registry entries? Does
anyone else have Inventor 11 Series and AutoCAD 2005 install simultaneously?

    Thanks,

I am getting the same message when trying to open the program that I installed last week on a new DELL Inspiron. I have tried to 'repair' the install and have just installed it completely again and still get the message and the program will not start:

    any ideas?

That looks like the same error we're getting. I have no idea why. It
used to work for us but it will no longer even start up for us on the
    notebook.

Hopefully an AutoDesk support person will see this thread and offer us
    some help!

Maybe we can try to figure out what is common between all the machines
that are having problems. What is the exact model and manufacturer of
the machine you are using? How much RAM? What applications are
installed? Has this always happened or has it suddenly started happening?

I'm not even sure how to submit this to AutoDesk's technical support?

Re: FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e0434f4dh Exception at 7c812a5bh - RESOLVED

With the help of AutoDesk Safety Net Support, we have resolved the Fatal
Error issue we were having with AutoCAD 2005.

The problem was suspected to lay with one of the Microsoft .NET
Framework installations so I removed .NET Framework 2.0 and the fatal
    error went away.

If you get the same Fatal Error crash, you might want to try removing
the .NET Framework versions starting with the latest version (3.0) and
working backwards until AutoCAD 2005 starts up properly. I have not
tried reinstalling any of the removed Framework versions.

I am curious if this fixes anyone else's problem, so please post back
    here with your results.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

This error may be attributed to an improperly installed .NET Framework Version 2.0. Apparently when Microsoft made this update available on it's WindowsUpdate webpage, If you downloaded this version, and then subsequently allowed your auto updater to download a later update (.Net Framework V 2.0.5), This update could be corrupted if you shut down your computer before it had been completely loaded onto your hard drive (yes Windows XP allows this to happen). In most cases this did not pose a problem to .Net framework dependent software, however when the next update in sequence gets loaded, things quickly become messy.

I have found a easy resolution to this problem by simply uninstalling all subsequent .Net Framework updates after Version 1.1 Hotfix (IN REVERSE ORDER), and then re-installing the latest version of .Net Framework. I have had no further problems with this Fatal Error at the startup of Land Desktop 2006 or Civil 3D 2006 since I applied this fix on my system
