    Acceptable input formats

2006 mechanical user. When I open a new drawing I cannot input dimensions with any apostrophes or quote marks to signify feet or inches. It doesnt recognize that as an acceptable input. How can I change it?

I have used other peoples cad files where I am able to insert dimensions in multiple formats. For example, for 1 foot 3 inches I could enter [1], [5], [Enter] or [1], [5], ["]. or [1], ['], [SPACE], [3], [Enter].  Where can I change this?

This place is for plain Autocad.

Looks like your drawing units is not setting for Architectural, it's in Decimal, or Engineering.....

Type in UNITS and change it.
