vertical text?

Does cad 2002 allow for a vertical text alignment? Know what I mean? Instead of 'normal' horizontal text, instead type in your text and it shows as each letter (or number) is directly above the last one. Not rotated, just vertical...

Sure. Just check the "Vertical" box when you define your text style in the
Style dialog.

Thanks...saw that. However, you can't use this function with truetype fonts. Simplex allows for this, but is a horribly ugly and simple font. We need to be able to use various fonts for custom designed signs and plaques. Thanks again.

Nevermind...remembered that you can just use the justify function to center the text to give the illusion of vertical text. Gotta hit enter after every letter or number, but it works for now.

Why did Autodesk remove the bonus and express tools that 14 had? Can they not see that everyone loved those commands?

AutoCAD is really not a text/graphics program, for signage and plaques you
might find Adobe Illustrator10 to be a better product.

Express Tools are free with R2000 and R2004, in between you have to buy them
at http://www.autodesk.com/estore
