problems with viewport

I am having a problem with viewports within multiple layouts. The problem
is when I go into the model space of the viewport, Autocad zooms extent of
the entire model. Autocad normally would allow you to enter the model
space, then wait for the next command. I would then be aloud to pan, draw,
edit or anything else.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks

Lock the viewport, double click to get in it, set UCSFOLLOW to 0 (zero).

Thanks Dean and Tracy, that did the trick. Now, what is UCSFOLLOW? and Why
would you want to us it?
