importing info into an attribute

I have extracted the information from my attributes
into excell. but I want to edit this info in the
spreadsheet, and then import it back into the
attributes in autocad.
can anyone please help

Chantelle,

I recommend you to use two very useful commands, that make this task very
easily: Attext and Attin, from Express Tools. If you don't have them, try
to download them from http://www.pointa.autodesk.com ; a free registration
is needed.

As to the performance: Attext exports all your attributes to a txt. file,
that you can open with Excell. Once you make all your changes in the
spreadsheet, save the file again as .txt and, back in AutoCAD, use Attin,
importing the same file. All your attributes update. It's very easy to use.

You might also look into autocell from http://www.dotsoft.com
